Cayuga Lake Charters 2022

Updated: Mar 29, 2022

Cayuga Lake offers outstanding fishing for anglers 8 months out of the year. It has outstanding populations of Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Landlocked Salmon. We run our Cayuga Lake fishing charters from April 1st to November 15th. The boat we use for our Cayuga Lake fishing charters is a 21' Lund Pro-V rigged with the latest jigging and trolling equipment. If you are interested in coming out and fishing with us, click here to book your charter!

Lund Pro-V 2075 - Our Cayuga Lake Charter Boat

The Lake Trout in Cayuga Lake average 4-8 pounds with many exceeding 10 pounds. They are on the feed constantly! Where you find the bait, you will find the Lake Trout. Cayuga Lake receives a stocking of over 60,000 Lake Trout from the NYS DEC. This allows for an excellent fishery where 30 bite days are the norm! On our Cayuga Lake fishing charters we target Lake Trout using spoons, stick baits, and flasher/fly rigs. Nothing beats watching a Lake Trout hit the dipsy diver rods! We also love to jig for Lake Trout on Cayuga Lake!

Cayuga Lake - Lake Trout

The Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout in Cayuga Lake average 3-6 pounds with some Brown Trout exceeding 10 pounds. These fish are the prized possessions of Cayuga Lake. We target them using flat lines and lead-core line on planer boards to help get the baits away from the boat. Our best success for these fish has come from the use of stick baits. Natural colors work the best in the clear water. If there is a stain, we will use brighter colors!
